Email protocols
- IMAP is useful if you want to leave email on the EONI email server and access your email from more than one device such as phone, tablet, desktop or notebook.
- POP3 is best if you have high volumes of email and attachments and prefer to remove your messages from the EONI email server on a single device
- SMTP is used for all outgoing email whether you choose IMAP or POP3
- You will use a combination of either IMAP+SMTP or POP3+SMTP
IMAP+SMTP Settings:
- Incoming Server Hostname: mail.eoni.com
- Username: your full email address
- Password: your email address password
- Incoming IMAP Port: 993
- Incoming IMAP Security: This server requires SSL encryption / Use SSL
- Outgoing Server Hostname: mail.eoni.com
- Use Outgoing Authentication: Enabled / Yes
- Outgoing SMTP Port: 587
- Outgoing SMTP Security: Use STARTTLS
POP3+SMTP Settings:
- Incoming Server Hostname: mail.eoni.com
- Username: your full email address
- Password: your email address password
- Incoming POP3 Port: 995
- Incoming POP3 Security: This server requires SSL encryption / Use SSL
